Venal (The Summer)

“The summer rains fire on the naked hills, the mirages and the dry winds, with a lonely cry disturbs the inhabitants dwelling in the valley. A single tree stands like one forgotten for ever in the middle of the cap of the hill, like a lonely pedestrian, and the shade too is pathetic to look at. Raman kutty was searching for his missing cow.  He is walking across, between the boulders, passing through the sea of sunshine, straying through his perturbed sensations, the cow which has not returned from grazing. He thinks, if it has horns? What was its colour? He forgot. This novella gives Vatsala’s create writing another face
The second story, The Rain in summer is also opening a host of sensibilities to the reader.”
